Project Manager of the Year

November 29, 2018

WJ Project Services are dedicated to the continued innovation and achievements that can be made on the national UK railways. With passion for recognising and encouraging those who make great strides within the rail sectors, WJ Project Services were the sponsors for RailStaff’s Project Manager of the Year Award.

The awards were held at the Birmingham NEC on November 29th 2018 and began 12 years ago in order to celebrate the teams and individuals who work in the rail sector and encourage further advancement in the field.

The winner of the RailStaff Project Manager of the Year Award 2018 was Kirsty Devlin of ScotRail. Kirsty’s team introduced ten new trains onto the rail system in a record-breaking time, earning her the recognition and celebration she, and her hard-working team, deserved.

Tom O’Connor, managing director of event organiser Rail Media, said: “The RailStaff Awards is not only our biggest night of the year, it’s also our favourite - a spectacle with no shortage of inspiring characters. We must thank our sponsors for making the night possible and the hundreds of guests who attended for such a memorable evening.”

Ashley Jordan, Test and Commissioning Director at WJ Project Services, said: "As a company carrying out testing and commissioning, we work on a lot of the major projects on the rail infrastructure. We see many project managers engaged in the programmes and Project Manager of the Year was a good one for us to get involved with and sponsor."
